Stock Controller and Operations Assistant

Job Opportunity Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Stock Controller and Operations Assistant. This role involves managing inventory control systems, overseeing stock levels, and supporting the Head of Operations in various administrative tasks related to managing snack vending sites.

Responsibilities:

Stock Control:

  • Implement and maintain an efficient stock control system to accurately track inventory levels across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock and manage stock replenishment processes.
  • Monitor stock movement and identify slow-moving or obsolete items for appropriate action.
  • Generate stock reports and provide insights to management on stock performance and trends.

Operations Support:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels (Nayax and Coges0 for vending and coffee machines
  • Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy
  • Manage stock reordering and replenishment processes
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with stock levels
  • Utilize telemetry reports and data to track and analyse vending and coffee machine performance (Nayax and Coges)
  • Generate and interpret reports to assess product popularity and sales trends
  • Collaborate with vending machine operators to optimize product selection and placement
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of stock
  • Implement and maintain inventory management procedures and best practices
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to management on stock levels and performance
  • Refunds reports daily to replenishment driver (merchandiser) via QR scanning reports and follow-ups

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inventory management and stock control, preferably in a retail or vending industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time position based in Kelvin with occasional travel to vending sites required.
